On 9 September 2005 the deputy head of the local government of Lower Austria, Ernest Gabman cut the red ribbon and declared the The Whisky Experience World open.

The Member of the European Parliament,  Agnes Schierhuber, DI Josef Pleil, Dr, Michael Widerman and Member of the Local Government of Lower Austria, Karl Honeder, all spoke a few words of welcome. Father Josef Reisenbichler gave the Whisky Experience World a special blessing.

A fine meal, the main dish was suckling pig, followed  the presentation of the book and film “Fascination Whisky” , The music was provided by Franz Bernegger (bagpipes) and his band (barrel organ and bass)

The 10 and 11 September were open door days and we had over 2000 visitors.
